Description


Typically work with moderate supervision but independently manage assigned SEO initiatives. Possess solid hands-on experience in SEO with growing expertise in AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization). Understand how SEO contributes to broader marketing and business objectives and collaborate effectively across teams.   

Key Responsibilities: 

As an SEO Specialist, you will be responsible for executing, optimizing, and scaling SEO initiatives with a strong focus on search engines, answer engines, and AI-driven discovery platforms. Your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Develop and execute SEO strategies to improve organic rankings, traffic quality, and conversions 
  • Implement AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) strategies to improve visibility in featured snippets, People Also Ask, and Google AI Overviews 
  • Optimize content for GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) to increase discoverability across AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity 
  • Conduct keyword and search intent research aligned with traditional SEO and AI-driven search behavior 
  • Perform ongoing SEO performance analysis to identify growth opportunities and ranking issues 
  • Collaborate with content teams to create and optimize SEO-, AEO-, and GEO-friendly content 
  • Execute on-page SEO optimizations including metadata, headers, internal linking, schema, and structured content 
  • Support technical SEO initiatives including crawlability, indexing, Core Web Vitals, and site health improvements 
  • Assist in managing backlinking and authority-building strategies following ethical SEO practices 
  • Evaluate website structure and content hierarchy to improve topical authority and AI understanding 
  • Prepare SEO, AEO, and GEO performance reports with actionable insights and recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field 
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in SEO, with exposure to content optimization and performance analysis 

Must-Have: 

  • Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals, search intent, and ranking factors 
  • Working knowledge of AEO concepts such as FAQs, structured answers, schema, and snippet optimization 
  • Awareness of GEO principles and how AI models surface and reference content 
  • Experience using SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, or similar platforms 
  • Ability to analyze data from Google Search Console and Google Analytics (GA4) 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple SEO tasks and priorities 
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with content, design, and development teams 
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

Good-to-Have:  

  • Experience with schema markup, local SEO, and entity-based optimization  
  • Familiarity with AI search behavior and optimization for AI-generated answers  
  • Hands-on experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Webflow, or Shopify  
  • Basic understanding of technical SEO including site speed, mobile optimization, and crawl management  
  • Exposure to content clustering and topical authority strategies
